B2B ecommerce is growing rapidly. For high volumes of industrial products, SKUvantage can shoot on site, to deliver high quality photography across a diversity of categories.
B2B ecommerce is a rapidly growing area and is also a major opportunity in these challenging times, presenting numerous channels to market that should be explored. Digital content enables more efficient selling through B2B portals, direct to consumer selling, or simply making your teams more productive by giving them ready access to product images.
Our recent project with Sydney Trains illustrates how they are using digital content to explore new business opportunities and support their teams. This project delivered a high volume of high quality imagery in a very short period to support their ecommerce ambitions.
The Opportunity and Challenge
Sydney Trains provides components to support maintenance of rail infrastructure across Australia, including a wide diversity of electrical and mechanical parts. To provide their customers and engineers the correct information so they could select the correct parts efficiently from an online catalogue, Sydney Trains required images of components to populate this platform. Sydney Trains selected SKUvantage to capture these images across 800 diverse components from small relay switches to large train stoppers. For operational reasons, Sydney Trains preferred the shoot to occur on site. This was also required at short notice due to the threat of the coronavirus.
The Solution and Results
SKUvantage’s team of photographers set up in the warehouse and we picked, shot and measured products to the Sydney Trains style guide. Over 1500 images were captured across the range, within 2 weeks to a very high quality. The images were loaded into SKUlibrary for client review, and ultimately delivered to their naming convention and requirement, ahead of schedule, safely and on budget. The project was delivered as a full turnkey solution, with the effort for the client being minimal.
“The SKUvantage team executed our project rapidly, safely and professionally, delivering ahead of schedule, with no disruption to our team. The image quality exceeded expectation and will help the users of our catalogue source the correct components first time.”
