Frequently Asked Questions
Why does DoorDash want my content?
DoorDash are partnering with major grocery and liquor retailers to deliver groceries via their website and app.
The content shared with DoorDash via SupplierXM (SXM), will be used on DoorDash’s website and App as its source of truth.
What specific product attributes does DoorDash use from the data supplied via SXM?
DoorDash utilises all mandatory fields provided through SXM to inform product updates and content on their platform. Additionally, they aim to incorporate all relevant information related to an item’s updates, including auxiliary images, dietary tags, nutrition information, and other pertinent product details. In essence, DoorDash intends to use all relevant data provided on the Product Detail Page (PDP) to enhance product content available to customers.
How quickly will my data be updated on DoorDash once shared on SupplierXM?
Once your data has been shared with DoorDash via SXM, it typically takes about 7 days for any updates to appear on the DoorDash website and app. However, if your product is not yet ranged with DoorDash’s retailer partners, it will not appear on the app until it is live with them.
Why is it important?
- A zero-cost way to enter data on your own and publish to the DoorDash catalogue via SXM.
- Quick and easy self-registration process to get your account set up instantly.
- Improve the way you work with DoorDash and spend less time identifying the right information to send
- DoorDash’s latest requirements are always automatically reflected on the supplier portal.
- Unlock efficiencies with how DoorDash gathers and publishes content.
Will DoorDash be contacting me for my product?
No, DoorDash will only ever deal through retailers who distribute your product/s. DoorDash will never directly engage with you to source products. All product pricing, stock availability and location is managed by the retailer directly with DoorDash.
Do I need to pay for using SuppllierXM?
No, there is no cost to the supplier, upfront or ongoing, to use SupplierXM.
Nor are there any costs for SKUlibrary hosting clients to set up their integration to SupplierXM.
I am a paying SKUlibrary Hosting Client. Do I need an SXM account too?
If suppliers want to share product content with DoorDash, they need to have a SupplierXM account as well. The SXM account will be used as a pass through to share content with DoorDash.
Once the SXM account is set up, they can be linked by a free integration so you can manage all your data from the one source (SKUlibrary).
Part of that service is our team backfilling data from SXM to SKUlibrary free of charge.
Is there an integration between SKUlibrary and SXM?
Yes! We have created a free integration for SKUlibrary hosting clients between SKUlibrary and SupplierXM. Simply fill in the Opt-in integration form.
The Salsify team will then assist with backfilling any data in SXM to SKUlibrary free of charge.
Can I share my content with DoorDash through other sources?
No, DoorDash has chosen to exclusively use SupplierXM to house its DoorDash catalogue.
Therefore, suppliers can only share content with DoorDash via SupplierXM, or via the SKUlibrary integration (if a current SKUlibrary client)
What if I had previously opted out of using SupplierXM?
No problem, our team can re-activate your SupplierXM account that has previously been switched off.
Important: if a supplier has chosen to manage their master data with other sources, this reactivation will not interfere or hinder those arrangements. The reactivated account can be used to share content to DoorDash and other retailers of your choice.
To re-activate you SXM account, please send us a message at [email protected].
